Sewing Project: Wine Bottle Koozie

Well, I've completed my first sewing project by myself! I decided that before I start my first quilt, I needed to get more familiar with my sewing machine. The Wine Bottle Koozie is definitely an easy project, and it is so cute and cozy! I want to make these to have on hand for a last minute hostess gift or even a Christmas gift. The pattern is from Design Sponge, check out their blog for complete directions on this project.

Here are my fabric choices:
The Finished Project, I learned to sew a button as well. This is a day of many firsts!

And the Koozie put in action. Too cute!

First Quilting Project

Well, now that the scrapbook is complete, I'm off to another project. Thanks to my husband he found me a great deal on a Kenmore sewing machine! I am so thrilled, I can't wait to use it! The first project with the awesome machine is going to be a sampler quilt, under the direction of my friend Joanna. Check out her amazing work at Applique Today. This past weekend, I made it to a fabric shop and picked out my selection. I hope it turns out good:)
I will keep you posted on my progress! The first class is this weekend, I can hardly wait:)

Simple Scrapping Update

Well the scrapbook is complete for my little brother, what a great feeling it is to have that finished. It turned out great! It is so easy to scrap when you have lots of great pictures to choose from, thanks Mom! Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of the 2nd half of the book to share with you, so when I return to the great plains, I will take pictures and post at a later date. As a gift and token of thanks my mom and little brother gave me the Cricut! Just when I thought I would never scrap again! Haha, I am truly excited to use the machine, there are so many things you can do with it. Now I will def. have to finish our wedding book. My goal is to have it completed by our 3rd anniversary (yes, it's been three years!) which is 7.7. Happy Scrapping!
